You may have seen me 'hoofin' it' with my own dogs along roads and trails in the Bethlehem area or out on a walkabout with one of my four-legged clients. My name is Joan Pell and I am the owner/operator of Paws to Pavement Plus. I am the one you will meet and I am the one who will show up when services are needed. I will never send anyone else in my place; you approved me and I honor that and thank you for your confidence in me. In the event of illness on my part, I will give you the option of my husband and/or daughter filling in if they are available.
I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, secure, healthy and loved. As members of their human pack, it is up to us to provide that for them, even if it means bringing a new member into the pack (like me) to help out when you can't be there for them.
I believe in throwing slimey tennis balls, wet noses nuzzling my neck, and that dirty paw prints compliment any outfit and dog hair completes it.
I believe it is unfair to condemn ANY dog or breed for the injustices inflicted upon them by unworthy, irresponsible owners. Punish the deed, not the breed!
I believe size does NOT matter. Every dog- whether it be a mini Rat Terrier or a colossal Great Dane- benefits from a daily routine of walking. It is the best, most natural form of exercise for a dog. A lot of small breed dogs are never walked; they are carried everywhere they go. This can create an anxious, fearful and dominant type of personality. Little guys need to get out and walk, too. Put them down on the ground and let their paws hit the pavement!
Help is available. There are very valid reasons for not being able to provide your dog with a daily, lengthy walk, whether it be time constraints and/or physical constraints. Sometimes these situations are only temporary (i.e.: recent injury to the owner). Others need help on a more regular basis. Whatever your need, Paws to Pavement Plus is here for you.
